The Family Understanding  Nutritional Direction Program  (FUND)
The FUND program is designed for families just like the Williams. It’s not impossible, but incredibly simple! The solution is to provide assistance with food while providing a more flexible schedule for education achievement, professional development and self-sufficiency, which will allow the entire family to gain an opportunity to become productive adults.

Feeding the families is vital and intricate part of our growth and development for our communities. By reducing the families’ cost of food (which will enable them to spend more quality time with their children, receive training/develop and education assistance.) They will be able to participate in enhancing their education and development needs to build a successful foundation. The children will benefit by receiving proper nutrition and spending quality time with their families.

With a small donation of $30 each family currently receives approx. $80 worth of food through the program, which is equivalent to approx. $220 in retail groceries. Unfortunately, we have to turn away a massive amount of families in need due to our current budget constraints. One of the crucial things that this program offers is the variety in household needs. The families receive more than just basic food. Some of the items that are distributed monthly are household items such as laundry detergent, dish detergent, toilet paper, as well as personal hygiene items. Fresh vegetables, eggs, meats and non-perishable can goods are the bulk of the distribution. Based on our current demand from local families, we will need to provide this program to over 2000 families within our community.
